I mean how much do you love that we have Micellar Water in our lives now! I know I do, no more scrubbing half your face off with a makeup wipe at the end of… More
I’m so excited to write this post for you all as it’s my first little collaboration with the beautiful earth loving botanical brand Forest & Shore. They asked me to review their gorgeous hair oil, and I’m instantly in love. (I’m not just saying that!)
My hair has always been something I’m very particular about and don’t tend to skimp on products to keep it clean, fresh and healthy, even sometimes turning to professional salon products.
A hair oil is something I’ve always considered a must have for your hair routine, I’ve been using the Loreal Professional Mythic Oil at the moment which keeps my ends conditioned and hydrated.
As if by fate my Hallelujah Hair Oil arrived just after I had washed my hair last Saturday Afternoon, perfect timing to add 2-5 drops to my towel dried hair through the ends and mid-lengths. My first impressions of this hair oil was love, the smell is amazing!
A gorgeous blend of Olive, Sesame, Coconut, Arnica, Rosemary and Lavender essential oils this product smells so loving and nourishing with the top notes of Lavender to calm and relax your senses.
Having used the Hallelujah Hair Oil a few times now after washing my hair throughout the week, I just can’t get enough of the smell and the results are great too. My hair feels so soft I can’t stop playing with it, I do need to be careful though as the last time I think I used a bit too much as my hair does look a bit oily now. (Think I got a bit product happy)
Being a packaging and design lover (kinda have to be with my job!) I must say this packaging speaks volumes for the brand, I love the delicate feel and slight natural texture to the box, with the added delicate floral and leaf sketched design to the top half gives the product a natural and ethical vibe, which is also great because they are 100% Organic! An organic hair oil that encourages hair growth as well as hydrating, you can’t go wrong at all.
Price wise this product is mid range at £14.99 on Amazon, but I’m a firm believer in that you pay for what you get, so paying over £10 for a hair oil you know its going to be good and exceed your expectations. It’s also currently a #1 best seller on Amazon!
So if you’re looking for a hair oil that does everything and more for your hair health as well as smelling great I believe this is the one. It comes in a 100ml bottle too so it will last you ages!
It’s almost that wonderful time of the year when eating chocolate is not frowned upon!
But if you’re still feeling a little guilty about tucking into a giant chocolate egg, or want to gift somebody an alternative egg this year, the Which Came First? bath bomb from Lush is a perfect little treat.
An indulgent and rather large egg, this bath bomb is infused with lemon and grapefruit — two of my favourite fragrances — so I knew that this would be a hit! Naturally, I was attracted to its beautiful appearance first. Which Came First? is a different shape to the usual spherical bath bomb, but an obvious choice for this time of year. It’s covered in a vibrant, sunshine yellow to make you smile instantly. Who doesn’t love the sun?! As I mentioned earlier, this bath bomb is rather large in size which I found intriguing — imagine the bubbles!
Until the lovely store assistant told me that there was a second bath bomb inside the egg, I had no idea! That’s three bath bombs in one, all for £6.95: one for the sunny side of the egg, one for the pink side, and one for the sweet little chick inside. I don’t think this could get any better.
The combination of lemon and grapefruit has to be one of my favourite fragrances. Perfectly sweet, but not too citrusy or overpowering. There’s also a hint of vanilla to blend everything together, making this a truly indulgent spring treat!
I mean, how cute is this little hatchling? The perfect Easter egg, if you ask me!
Have you found a nice alternative egg this year? I’d love to hear about it! 🙂

Okay. Don’t laugh. Yes, it’s taken me about a year to fill my frames! I promised I’d write a little update, though if you missed the first post be sure to check it out here.
I’m sure you guys will agree that I had to properly fill the frames. I knew my photographs would be a bit overwhelming in such large dimensions, especially as my bedroom is relatively small. So, the hunt began for some simple prints that would complement all the little bits and bobs on the shelves.
I kept my eyes peeled on my various shopping trips, especially in places like The Range, B&Q, and Primark. I purchased a cute little kitten sketch found in the reduced section at Wilkinson’s, but unfortunately this little guy gave the wrong impression, despite looking very sweet amongst my candles.
In November of last year, I had tickets to attend Stylist Live with my sister. (This deserves a post of it’s own, though I’m yet to write one!) Wandering around the gorgeous stalls full of beauty, fashion, and home pieces, we were surrounded by prints. They featured all sorts of things, from gold foiled leaves to bright pink flamingos. The flamingos, I admit, were very tempting.
Towards the end of the day we discovered ‘My Shining Amour’, a stall selling prints, jewellery, and candles. The first print to jump out at me was the ‘K I L L I N G I T’ print in a beautiful white frame. This print looks clean and simple, with the letters equally spaced in light sans serif capitals, which happens to be my favourite form of lettering. (Please excuse my nerd moment.) I knew it would look perfect in my larger frame. Now I just had to find a smaller print to complement it.
Looking further around the stall we saw that they had many more great pieces. This included a little candle with ‘I focking love you’ written on the side. The design was amazing in itself, but it also smelt incredible. (I later discovered that the scent was lime, basil, and mandarin.) I was on my best behaviour and so resisted the candle, but if you like the sound of it then you can find it online here. The stall also had a number of other gorgeous prints, some of which included rose gold foiling on the lettering. I can’t emphasise enough how much I love it when a brand gets a logo or some text foiled. It looks beautiful, and knowing how much work goes into it makes it all the more impressive!
This leads me on to my second print: ‘Goal digger’ I absolutely love this print, and it looks gorgeous trimmed down and framed. Waking up to it every morning reminds me that I’ve got goals, and that I can reach them. That might be saving money, completing a design at work, or simply getting out of bed that day. Looking up and seeing this elegant script font and rose gold foiling reminds me how hard I worked to get where I am, and how much further I want to get. This print was originally the same size as ‘K I L L I N G IT’, but I decided to cut it down and pop it in my spare frame to sit alongside my rose gold trinkets.
Of course, after putting my prints in their frames I had to have a little re-jig of all my little bits and bobs — the refresh was a welcome change. These ledges are now complete: clean, non-intrusive, but elegant.
Have you found any nice prints recently? I’d love to see them! Who knows, I might need another refresh next year!

Okay, I know. I’m back to one of my all-time favourite brands… but they’re my favourite for a reason!
This week I’m focussing on‘Naked Flushed – Naked’, a cheek palette I received as an extra little gift for Christmas. I’d been holding off on using it as I’ve not really used a cheek palette before. (I know, I’m a bit behind the times!) I’m not really sure why, either, as I love an eyeshadow palette!
This particular palette includes a super silky bronzer, highlighter, and blush in a gorgeous medium pink shade. All three colours complement each other beautifully. I’ve been using this palette for a few weeks now, and I’ve found it best to use each colour separately. Of course, this makes the application more precise, but I’m not sure I like the idea of making a mess by blending in the palette.
So, let’s look at the colours individually.
Starting with the bronzer, the formula is both silky and buildable. I use myReal Techniques contour brush to achieve a soft, bronzed contour. It’s also great for lightly contouring your nose and jaw line.
Next in line is the gorgeous highlighter: rose-tinted to create an enviable glow.
Last, but by no means least, is my favourite part of the trio – the beautiful blush. Used with theReal Techniques blush brush , this creates a perfectly flushed look. With this amazing duo, I usually end up looking a bit over-blushed!
Let’s be honest – I was always going to love this palette, wasn’t I? I mean, it’s by Urban Decay! Is there a cheek palette out there you think I’ll love too?

Wow it’s been a while!

Anyway, it took a nomination from the lovely Louise at Pretty Polly Beauty to get me back by taking part in the Liebster Award Tag, so thank you! If you get a chance be sure to have a look at her blog, or instagram as she’s always posting great stories.

Another hard one! I’m an animal person does that count? I have cats at home with my mum but my dad has a dog so I get the best of both worlds really.

What was it that encouraged you to start blogging?
I’ve wanted to start one for ages, but it took finding a little quote my great nan left to my mum in a note book to give me the final push, you can find the quote here.

My ultimate favourite song is old school Rihanna – Music of the sun

I think we can all agree that when a beauty product claims to include natural ingredients, our inner green thumb emerges and makes it even more desirable.
I was so excited to receive this beautiful little set in the post from Garnier to celebrate their 96% natural origins Rose Water range. It includes Botanical Day Cream, Soothing Botanical Cleansing Milk and a Maybelline Colour Sensational in Peach Buff. and comes in an adorable little make-up bag with ‘Life is Rosy #clearlynatural’ printed on the front.
To start off, I tried using the cleansing milk. As a lover of the Garnier Micellar cleansing water, I was keen to try a cleansing milk to compare the two textures. As you’d expect, the milk has a creamier and more soothing feel to it. Combined with the delicate fragrance from the rose water, this product is a real treat for your skin. (And your senses!)
This little cleanser gently removes the day’s makeup and leaves you feeling calm and refreshed – a perfect way to wash the day away! Made with Rose Water, it’s jam-packed with antioxidants and vitamins to leave your skin feeling firm, floral, and vibrant.
I love the fact that Garnier sent a beautiful Peach Buff lipstick in their kit too. When you’re achieving soft and supple skin, it’s important not to forget about your sensitive lips. This lipstick is moisturising, but matte a hugely popular finish at the moment. The colour is obviously gorgeous: a beautiful blush pink infused with golden nude pigments to achieve a warm tone.
Also in the set is the beautiful Botanical Day Cream, again packed with antioxidants to help protect your skin against daily pollutants. This moisturisers is specially formulate to protect and soothe, making your skin smooth and supple again.
Again, the rose scent is subtle rather than overbearing, as some rose-scented products can be. The fragrance is delicate, and feels almost vintage as it was so popular back in the day.
Have you tried any of the Garnier Rose Water range, or a product with rose as the key ingredient?
For this week’s post I was once again swayed by a little marketing email from Barry M!
With Christmas just around the corner, I wanted to invest in a new festive gold nail polish. As if they’d read my mind, I received an email from Barry M about their new liquid chrome nail varnish. I knew immediately that this was the one!
I absolutely love the packaging of Barry M’s nail polish. Being square, they fit perfectly in my nail polish storage, neatly lined up and in colour order. But gold was a colour I was missing. Being Barry M, I had no doubts that this would be a good, strong nail polish, and so didn’t hesitate to buy Bright Lights!
I can’t begin to explain how reflective this product is. The end product is the closest I’ve seen to a chrome powder effect in a polish. Naturally, this features the same amazing brush that comes with all Barry M polish. It’s slightly curved and tapered at the end to create the perfect shape for painting the bottom of the nail bed. This little brush makes painting your nails at home so, so easy! (Even with your other hand!)
While I was there, I also picked up the rose version of Liquid Chrome, Razzle Dazzle. It’s a gorgeous rose gold with the same chrome-effect finish as Bright Lights, and is perfect for any season. I’ve found that when painting my nails, this formula does dry slightly matte, showing any bumps on your natural nails. I recommend a little buff out first, followed by a top coat to ensure a smooth, reflective finish.
I still can’t stop looking at the polish itself! It’s so satisfying!
Check out my Instagram for more pics of the polish! I’d love to know what you think!
This post is dedicated to all you beautiful bloggers out there who have ever done an empties post, these have to be one of my favourites to read. I love finding out what everyone has been loving (or hating) throughout the month, so I decided to keep hold of my empties to do the same.
First empty of the month is the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser in Grapefruit & Patchouli, I loved this cleanser have honestly been a bit lost without it! I won’t go into too much detail on this first product as I have written a post previously about it, you can find out more here.
Next up is my hero beauty product, I adore this cleansing water. It’s a product I use religiously every day to either take my makeup off or freshen up in the morning. It’s gentle formula soothes my skin too always leaving it feeling clean and refreshed. Once again you can find out more in one of my previous posts here.
A new addition to my daily routine the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer, I really enjoyed using this product as anything thats a two in one product is always a bonus! Saving a little time on preparing your skin for makeup is aways a good start to the day plus it helps if you’re anything like me and usually forget to use primer until half way through foundation application.
This moisturiser was soft and creamy, almost a yogurt texture, but I cant help but feel a slight silicone texture too. I’m assuming this was the primer part of the double benefit product, which did put me off a little bit as all can imagine is putting plastic or jelly on my face.
Other than the slight jelly texture to the product overall I did enjoy using it, I felt it provided a great makeup base and kept my skin hydrated throughout the day.
Next is another daily essential for me, my Urban Decay setting spray that is so old but always needed! This is another product I’ve dedicated a post already to so find out more here.
last up is my favourite perfume ever, to be fair any perfume from Victoria Secret is amazing! This one was a gift from my boyfriend last Christmas so I’ve kept it just for using for best and nights out.
It’s a sweet fragrance which suits me perfectly as this is always the ones I go for. It has a mix of both floral and fruity scents that give it a young and vibrant feel.
Also this bottle is so sweet with its little black bow on the side, it looks great on your dressing table too.
A setting spray? Why would you need that?
Oh my god, you need this in your life. Like, right now. Honestly, go now and head to feelunique.com. You won’t look back!
Yes, I was sceptical at first. I wasn’t sure why I needed a setting spray – setting spray is for the famous bloggers and MUAs, right? Plus, who knows what it actually is, other than a magical potion to keep your makeup in place all day?
Introducing your new best friend:
Introducing your new best friend.
Of course, there are loads of other setting sprays out there. But, being a self-confessed Urban Decay fan, I’ve obviously opted for their All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.
This is a product you think you can live without until you start using it. If you’re anything like me, you’ll have a little panic when the spray starts to spit at you at the end of the bottle! With its oil-free formula (win-win for me!) and temperature control technology, it really does leave your skin refreshed when you start the day with a spritz. Don’t ask me how, I don’t know either!
I want to take a moment to appreciate the packaging of the All Nighter spray. The box and bottle are a soft matte texture that feels gorgeous and makes you want to use it. Rather than a shiny plastic, you’re met with a velvet finish that adds a touch of luxury. You know instantly that the product is going to work, and it’s going to work well.
I’ve only just finished a bottle that I’ve had for about a year. The one featured in my photos is a replacement I got for my birthday back in July, as I was worried my first bottle would run out. How wrong was I?! Now, when you click through to buy the All Nighter Spray, they have a different packaging. Yes – I’ve had mine so long that they’ve changed the packaging!
I totally agree with Urban Decay’s decision to change their packaging from white to a dark grey with pale purple text. (Don’t worry, they’ve kept that beautiful matte finish!) Having read a few articles, it seems that the brand’s founder wanted to revamp the bottle after finding that the white bottle was quickly getting dirty from every day use. Putting my old bottle against a brand new one shows just how dirty it’s gotten!
I think I might have to make a little Instagram post just to prove it!
Anyway, enough about the box and packaging – that speaks for itself. As for the product, I remember being admittedly doubtful before I’d tried it. Now, having used it for so long, I can safely say that the lightweight formula seals your makeup without feeling like you’ve sprayed your face with glue. It also dries almost instantly, and so doesn’t feel like you’ve sprayed your face with water either!
I’ve used this spray through hot summers and cold winters, and even with watery eyes from the cold it continues to hold your makeup in place. It really is something magical.
This little spray is also great while applying makeup too. For example, I spray my eyeshadow brushes before applying glitter-based colours as it helps to transfer and hold the glitter, creating a sharper and more sparkly look. This works especially well when teamed with Dust or Buzz from Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette. It’s a truly versatile product!
This week I’ve decided to dedicate my post to my all-time favourite lip look, using two perfectly partnered products. First up is a gorgeous lip liner that I know is everyone’s favourite. If this lip liner was a person, they’d be the most popular in the class!
Of course, it’s the one and only Soar lip pencil by MAC. It’s incredible – it goes with so many different lipstick shades and even works beautifully on its own!
I have worn the liner only look a few times now, simply because I love the colour. All I needed was a bit of lip balm on top to keep my lips hydrated now that the weather in the UK has gone all cold and miserable!
MAC always hits the spot with their packaging: simple and sleek, with a little foiling on the logo. (Which, if you’ve read any of my other posts, you’ll know I love!) It adds a bit of class and a touch of sass to a product, which is never a bad thing!
My go-to perfect partner is the MAC Viva Glam 2, a gorgeous, muted pink-beige that compliments my pale skin tone. Again, I love the packaging of this product. The striking, deep cherry red colour inside contrasts the trademark MAC black. Although it looks slightly matte once applied, the satin coating helps to keep your lips hydrated.
MAC lipsticks are recognised for their long-lasting colour, and this beauty is no exception. Its creamy formula glides on effortlessly and lasts throughout the day, with the occasional top-up to stay hydrated. Using Soar first ensures that no colour bleeding occurs, but I’ve used this lipstick on its own plenty of times without bleeding!
