We all love an at home pamper night, chilled out and stress free and lets face it an excuse for some ‘me time’. (and candles obviously)
After having my birthday a few weeks ago I received the lovely gift of a Liz Earle Limited Edition Grapefruit and Patchouli Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Yep a bit of a mouthful of a name but such a treat for your skin.
First though, I had to take a moment for the packaging, the cleanser itself came in an aluminium tube, with the unique cleanser design neatly wrapped around it. The design on the tube and bottle have a delicate looking and lightly sketched lemon, grapefruit and floral pattern, which instantly gives you an idea of what the product inside will be like.
To give the product that Limited Edition ‘sparkle’ the Liz Earle logo along with the word ‘LIMITED EDITION’ feature on the tube in silver foiling, an expensive finishing method but totally worth it in my eyes. That little bit of shimmer catches the light and adds a certain luxury feel to the packaging.
The cleanser itself is a rich creamy texture with a scent that instantly bursts through. The scent to me is that literal smell you think of when you think of a spa, the fresh zesty Grapefruit fragrance mixed with the woodyness of the Patchouli. Close your eyes and you could be in a 5* spa.
After using the cleanser a few times now it really does work, my skin feels clean and baby soft all thanks to the naturally active ingredients; coca butter with it’s rich moisture, along side the toning and soothing properties of rosemary and chamomile. I’ve found this cleanser also provides a great base for my makeup, well moisturised skin holds my makeup for longer and provides a clean base for foundation.
This Hot Cloth Cleanser has always been a favourite of mine and with the new scents introduced its going to be hard to resist starting a collection!
The Rose and Lavender scented one is 100% next on my list, have you tried it already? What did you think?
